"WHAT WILL BE THE LEGACIES OF HON MUSAH KUSUBARI AND HON SAEED MUAZ JEGEDE?
The wise saying that “The
mourning of the dead is a warning to the living” should sound huge alarm bells in
the ears of Honorable Musah Kusubari and Honorable Saeed Muhazu Jegede who have
been privileged to occupy two very powerful and influential positions in the President
Nana Akuffo Addo/Dr Bawumia NPP government.
We are made to believe
that all the developmental projects carried out in the Damongo Municipality in
the current NPP era are projects of the incumbent member of parliament for the
Damongo constituency, Honorable Samuel Abu Jinapor. If my memory serves me
right the following projects have been credited by the Damongo Constituency NPP
Communications team led by Honorable Lamin as projects of Honorable Samuel Abu
Jinapor;
1.
Damongo Township Aspalt overlay
2.
Damongo Astroturf pitch
3.
Larabanga Astroturf pitch
4.
Damongo Community Center
5.
The White Elephant waste recycling plant
6.
Busunu Astroturf pitch
7.
The white Elephant Canteen market
8.
The Maternity unit of Larabanga Health
Center
9.
The Rehabilitation of the Damongo Saturday
Market
10.
Ngbaripe Drainage system
If all these projects are
the handiwork of the Honorable member of parliament, Constituents will like to
know the legacies of the current Honorable Municipal Chief Exectutive,
Honorable Musah Kusubari and the one-time Municipal Chief Executive of Damongo now
the Savannah regional minister, Honorable Saeed Muhazu Jegede in the midst of
the following challenges facing the Damongo Municipality;
1.
No street lights in principal streets of
Damongo
2.
The perennial Damongo water crises
3.
Poor Sanitation facilities
4.
Environmental degradation as a result of excessive
wood logging and charcoal burning
5.
Poor road infrastructure in the
municipality (Canteen/Agric Extension/Sori No.1/Sori No.2/Sori No.3 road,
Larabanga/Mognori/Murugu Road, Canteen/agric. Settlement/Congo road, Yipala/Broto/Janfaru
road e.t.c.
6.
High youth unemployment in the
Municipality
7.
High incidence of substance Abuse
especially among the youth
8.
Poor educational infrastructure especially
no textbook syndrome at the basic level
9.
Poor Access to health services.
“To whom much is given, much more is expected” and so as the clock is ticking the count down towards the end of your tenure the good people of Damongo Municipality wants you to stand up and be counted by way of accounting to them and showing the scorecard of your tenure in office.
